Vinayaka Mission's had its inception in the year 1981. The” Deemed to be University” status was conferred on Vinayaka Missions in 2001 by The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, with the recommendations of the UGC Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology was started in the year 2003, with a Diploma Programme in Speech and Hearing. The Undergraduate Degree Programme ,B.ASLP., was initiated in the year 2004. The department was upgraded into a full-fledged institution in the name of “School of Rehabilitation and Behavioural Sciences” in the academic year, 2021-2022. The Rehabilitation Council of India had given approval for two Postgraduate programs Viz M.Sc. (Audiology) and M.Sc. (Speech-Language Pathology).
